Karen Pulsifer
CERTIFIED ATHLETIC THERAPIST
BSC IN HUMAN KINETICS
As a Certified Athletic Therapist, CAT(C), I specialize in preventing, assessing, and treating musculoskeletal injuries. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing pain, or looking to enhance performance, my goal is to help you move and feel your best.

Athletic therapy isn't just for athletes—it’s for anyone who wants to improve mobility, prevent injuries, and stay active for life. My approach is evidence-based, hands-on, and tailored to your unique needs, whether you're returning to sport or simply looking to move with more confidence in daily life.

My Background
My passion for fitness began in high school when the group fitness instructor didn’t show up for class. As people started to leave, I called out, “If anyone can figure out the music, I can lead!” The next day, I was hired for my very first job — as a group fitness instructor.

I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, then specialized in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal University, focusing on injury prevention and rehabilitation. My experience includes working with varsity-level athletes and contributing to research at the University of Calgary’s Kinesiology and Sports Medicine departments.

Now based in Golden, BC, I embrace the community’s active lifestyle and teach group fitness at BASE Health & Wellness. My passions include skiing, mountain biking, and functional fitness. As a Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)), I am dedicated to helping the people of Golden Move, Mend, and Maximize their potential.

Through every stage of my journey, my core value has remained the same: figure out the music and move.
